To set up a new user in PRIVV, please follow the steps below:
Note: Only System Admins can invite new users to your team.
1. Adding a New System Admin or System Manager
- Click on Our Team in the Navigation Bar.
- Click + New in the top right corner. This will open a pop-up window.
- Fill in the information of the new user.
- Decide whether the user should be a System Admin or System Manager. Click here to read more about role types and permissions.
- It is recommended when you first set up your company's PRIVV that you select one main user to be the primary System Admin and help in the process of configuring the company PRIVV. Other company executives should also receive the System Admin role. Every other user should be given the System Manager role and added to specific projects as a Project Admin when necessary, as they do not need to view every project.
- Click the green checkmark. This will send the user an email inviting them to join your team's PRIVV.
2. Adding a User to a Project
If you choose to add a user as a System Manager, they can only see projects they are invited to. A manager must be set up to access each project.
- Navigate to the project you want to add a user to.
- Click on People in the Navigation Bar.
- Under the box titled your company PRIVV name, click the pencil icon.
- From here, you can select a user to be added to the project.
- Note: The steps in part one must have been completed to add a user to the internal system to be able to add them to the specific project.
